Posted on - Laura Bernstien

The Chipley Garden Club’s scarecrows have already begun appearing around town and will continue to pop up until September 22, 2018, when the 7th Annual Scarecrow Building Contest and History Festival commences.  Join the Chipley Garden Club and Washington Historical Society as they provide a day of family fun and education. The event will be held from 10am-5pm on the lawn of the Washington County Historical Society.  The Historical Society’s displays will be open from 10am-3pm and will proudly display new Creek Indian displays, local historical artifacts, and AmTrak Train and other train memorabilia.  The Washington County Market will feature vendors and crafts while the Farmer’s Market will be open to offer fresh foods for sale.  Attendees will also enjoy refreshments, live entertainment, Native American cultural skill demonstrations, and free crafts for kids.
