CELEBRATE OUTDOORS: Shorebirds nesting earlier


The News Herald — According to a release from Audubon Florida, the season’s first reported nests have come from Dog Island, with three Snowy Plover pairs successfully laying eggs about mid-February. The season historically began on March 1.
