When you want to enjoy a beach vacation and also indulge in a southern staple, come to the Destin Florida area for a very southern getaway. What’s with the Bacon frenzy? Bacon goes with sandwich, steaks, desserts, burgers and even oysters. When you’re in Destin or the surrounding area, do not miss these great bacon-dish serving restaurants.
Another Broken Egg Café has two locations, one in Destin and one in Sandestin’s Grand Boulevard. Their Brunch special, ‘Eggs Blackstone Benedict’ is a marvel. The egg is not only infused with bacon, but it is also sprinkled with crisp baked bacon, topped with their peculiar Hollandaise sauce.

Close to another Broken Egg Café lies the rightfully named, Pancakery. Their famous ‘Bacon Lover Pancake’ is stuffed with so much bacon! For lunch, you can enjoy your bacon with Loaded Potatoes, classic BLT, half-pound Hotsy Burgers and smoked Turkey BLT.

With the motto ‘Good Morning!’, First Watch opens not just for breakfast, but also for lunch. Fun fact about First Watch is, all customers are welcome with a complimentary newspaper and Wi-Fi access. ‘Millionaire Bacon’ is their star meal and consists of four slices of hardwood smoked bacon which is baked with cayenne, brown sugar, black pepper and all of this is dipped in maple syrup. You can also get a wrap that says, ‘I love you more than bacon.’

Panini Pete’s Café & Market, located on Highway 98, is popular for all things bacon. Try their beer cheese smeared on their beer cheese bacon burger. My favorite is the swiss cheese, scrambled eggs, and vine-ripened tomatoes on the Pete’s original breakfast panini, which is stuffed with bacon.

A local’s favorite and one of my favorite places to eat on the Emerald Coast of Florida is Vin’tij Wine Boutique & Bistro. For food, wine, and bacon, this is a spot you must visit. It is a boutique eatery with food as unique as the decor. Their signature dish which includes bacon is the Pan-Fried Oyster BLT. The dish comprised of Brie, tomatoes, tossed greens, chilled pasta salad, and of course Apple wood smoked bacon.

Sandestin Resort is bacon paradise and on the gulf side is a world-class restaurant called Seagars. They are known for their steak with a unique spread, with bacon as part of its spread. They have won several awards and are a high-end choice for bacon.
